THE MOTIVATION
Hello fellow doctors! After getting full GMC registration for license to practice, I have decided to write down my experience in this blog which will help you all to get through this. To tell you all what I did and what all I missed to do because of the lack of knowledge. Believe me you guys, this process is very easy but not that easy! One has to be very intelligent for the studies but at the same time very smart to tackle the other problems that might come along.
I have passed my MD degree from Russia way back in 2005 and then did my Pg in medicine from India in the year 2011. Since then i have been working in nephrology department and recently appointed as a consultant in a Pvt medical college in delhi ncr.
I was doing good with my current job but there was no growth in my career. i was living in a comfort zone with a stable job and all the perks but then I got the info from my sister that there is a dire need for doctors in NHS and that I should be thinking bout that. It was not an easy job for me to sit for many hours to study again when I have already left studying competition books since 2006 and it was hard for me to work full time and again study for PLAB exams.
but its good to give yourself a specific target and than follow it till you achieve the results. my advice, book for ielts, prepare and score the desired band, and than start preparing for PLAB1.

Thanks for this blog..It definitely crosses boundaries. I am responding to your post almost a year you originally posted it. believe it tells you how important the message was and how true messages could live the test of time. For me, i believe your post above is still relevant, even now. Anyways, wanted to find out how things have been since you rounded off Plab 2. Are you still practicing Renal medicine which was your PG in India? if not, what were you able to settle for? Also , when you say PG, do you mean residency in Nephrology?
ReplyDeleteHello, thanks for the appreciation. I am in UK now as a renal specialist. All the best for your future endeavors.
